Event Details

SeaMo and the Global Business Center (GBC) at the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business are pleased to join forces to bring you an evening of insights into the growing field of microfinance.

This event will feature panelists from several local organizations that are defining Seattle as a leader in local and international micro-lending.  Representatives from the Grameen Foundation, Unitus, Vittana, Global Partnerships, and Washington CASH will all share their insights on how they entered the field of microfinance, challenges they encountered, successes they've enjoyed, and recommendations that they have for those interested in the field.  The panel will include Executive Director, Program Officer, Social Entrepreneur, HR Representative, Grants Manager, and Development Officer, proving that there are many entry points for those with diverse backgrounds.  There will also be time for direct questions from the audience.

A pre-event reception will provide attendees the opportunity to network and mingle with the speakers beforehand.  The reception will start at 6:00 PM and will include wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, & light appetizers.
